We did make it down to Sol – or at least within 20 meters of it! The crowds were thick and there were some crushing moments, but the police did well to control the crowds. We weren’t able to see anything, though later learned there wasn’t much to see anyway. Just a sign that lit up on the clock tower (which couldn’t be heard) at midnight: “Feliz 2004!” We ate our grapes at about 00:04 once we saw others start to eat theirs…
