Well today Rachel was allowed to come in at 12, 3pm and 6 pm + our regular visiting time of 1:30 and 4:30pm. I wasn’t allowed to come in since only 1 parent at a tie is allowed in at the same time into the ICU to help with feeding and so forth. So Rachel got to spend close to 4 hours with him today. She changed him, emptied his stomach, tube fed him, held him and all that. He’s at 60ml today and he’s digesting better almost all of it. They’ve tried working with his sucking but so far no sucking or swallowing. He’s also got some reflux which is kind of dangerous since he doesn’t swallow or cough and could breath his milk in. They had a couple of scary moments where his breathing (saturation) dropped down but the nurses came quickly and help him recover quickly. We are continuing to pray for his brain to heal completely so all these reflex problems disappear for good.
