Davy is having 65ml of his enriched breastmilk now.

We are finally off the IV!!!! This means that tomorrow monday they’ll attempt spoon feeding him 1cc of milk and work on his swallowing. Please pray with us. This also means that this week they’ll move him to the intermediate room for us to have easier interaction with him, and that we’ll go to the gym with him to do some physical therapy. They’ll aslo talk to us about going with him to a CDIAT (child development and early intervention center) once we are out so that he gets the right stimulation to overcome his brain injury. Also this means that the day where we can go home is approaching. The doctors will probably order for us on monday a saturation/heart monitor, an oxygen machine and a portable suction machine for the excess secretions. This things are to have nearby only in case they are needed, although they expect us to not need them. Except for the saturation/heart monitor which we’ll help us going to sleep in peace. All this said we don’t have a date yet, and it all hinges on how good the swallowing/spoon feeding goes. But as soon as he can swallow a small amount he’ll come home even with the nasogastric tube since they key now is to stimulate him and that can happen at home better than at the hospital.
