A Year Absent
At some point during the last year Robyn’s blog ran into serious technical difficulties from which it would never recover. Somehow her entire database got corrupted beyond repair. I spent many many hours attempting to bring it back from the dead over the past year but in the end I gave up.
Today I spent much of the day copying and pasting all of the content from her old website into this new one. Her website, which used to be run using MovableType, is now run using WordPress and sports a spiffy new look. Thankfully this means she will return to blogging shortly. Unfortunately, however, I was unable to move over all of the comments you left on the old site to this new one. I have saved them all for posterity but bringing them back here would simply require too much effort.
So, now, I wait with you for Robyn’s much anticipated return.

And hey, look at those good-looking people on your latest Gallery Album.
Miss you guys!
Wow, that’s a lot of work. Thanks for doing that.
Welcome back, Robyn.
I used to think that CRASHED sites, CORRUPTED files, VIRUSES, and “technical difficulties” were the UN-usual happenstance — Now I am coming to realize that they are common place, especially among those of us who use it for communication with our long distance families.
Glad to know that you are RE-CONNECTED!!
