Back in Sevilla
Since I’m on my blog to post the video, I thought I may as well post something . . .
We returned to Sevilla on Saturday night after 11 days in Cádiz on the southern coast of Spain. It was much less hot there (can’t really say “cooler,” it was still hot, but less hot than Seville).
We are now diligently searching for an apartment. Samuel went to an apartment-finding service this morning and signed up and paid them to search for us. We’ve heard good things about this place, and it beats sitting in front of the computer for hours searching websites for possibilities and walking around neighborhoods for hours writing down numbers. I guess that’s what they do, then they’ll let us know when they find something within our price range and specifications.
Samuel just went to look at a 2 bedroom place (previously made appt. before signing up with the new place) that he said was nice and spacious, but no oven and only a 2-burner stove. Part of having a home and feeling settled to me means being able to cook . . . I know, all of you out there who know I don’t really cook, this may come as a shock; but I think it’s time. Now that I’m a mother I have the responsibility to feed my son more than cereal, pasta and sandwhiches!
So there is the update. It’s still hot here – forecast to be over 100 again today. Desperately hoping for a home of our own.
Ciao

I hope you will find a home soon. A place to nest. A resting place after so much moving around and crashing other people’s houses over the last year. You’ve been like a nomad! Maybe it’s time to put down some roots, eh?
