Hippy Fair!
We had fun attending the “Encuentro Alternativas” Festival this weekend on Saturday and Sunday. Aka – “The Hippy Fair.” I even had the chance to visit with a couple at the El Parto Es Nuestro booth – I recognized them from the meeting I had attended in February. And Samuel had an interesting conversation with a group who were promoting the independence of AndalucÃa (the Communidad or “state” we are in). They believe Andalucia should be its own country. If all the Communidades had their way, Spain would pretty much consist of just Madrid! We’re quite happy with Sevilla being part of Spain, so we didn’t pick up any bumper stickers from that booth.
Josiah loved the music and all the activity going on around us. He is amazingly curious and courageous! Just before I shot this video he had been standing nearby watching this group playing and singing, he then walked up to the woman in red, moved her hands out of the way and sat down in her lap! It’s so fun to watch him interact with people and to see others interact with him. . . I stumble over “hola” sometimes while Josiah makes himself comfortable in the circle of total strangers! I love his boldness!
Sophia was a little more reserved and preferred to keep a litle distance, but she still enjoyed the music and wasn’t afraid to show off her moves!
See more photos of our fun in the “March 2007 Fun” album in the Gallery!
