Last weekend our little community got away together near the beach in Cádiz province. Our friends Jesús and Rachel have a home there and opened up every spare room and corner to host us. Some actually stayed at the home of Jesús’ parents justa couple of blocks away.

Jesús and Rachel are the parents of Tiffany, another little friend of Josiah and Sophia. They all had great fun playing together and with Mara, the 7-year old member of our community. More playmates did keep Josiah more oocupied, but I’m not sure the parents were able to experience the full “retreat” effets of the retreat weekend!

We had a lot of fun, spent some time walking to the beach and playing in the sand a little bit (though it was still too cold to go in the water). We also had some time of prayer and discussions about the structure of our community and our mission and vision. These are big subjects to undertake and we decided that a couple of smaller committees will spend a little more time hammering out the details.
