Please pray for baby David
Our friends Jesús and Rachel and daughter Tiffany (those who have the house near the beach where we stayed a few weeks last summer) had their second child yesterday, a baby boy. We went to visit them yesterday and all were doing well until early this morning when baby David stopped breathing while in his father’s arms.
He was transferred to the University hospital across the street from us, but Rachel is still on the other side of town expecting discharge tomorrow (Saturday). He has been diagnosed with pneumonia, but continues to have additional unrelated symptoms that the doctors are still trying to diagnose.
Jesús and his father are at the hospital with David and Tiffany and Jesús’ mom are with Rachel.
As we well know, this is a heart-wrenching experience, especially for Rachel who is now separated from her baby and her husband, and in light of the Spanish hospital system that severely restricts the visiting of one’s child in the ICU.
We ask you to join us in praying for our dear friends: for quick healing and protection over David, for early discharge for Rachel so she can be closer to David and Jesús, for the heartbreak and helplessness that comes with being separated from your child and for patience and good behavior from Tiffany (age 2).
Thank you for praying with us.
