Rach continued with the extended visits today. They had a better day today. No scary moments. The head doctor said that he personally was gonna attempt feeding the baby with a spoon when he’s moved into the other room and he’s off the IV, and that he’s hopeful the baby can swallow even if he doesn’t suck since he’s seen many cases like this and he also saw him swallow some of the liquid they put in for his digestive track test. On monday they are gonna bump up his feeding and see if he can eat enough to take him off IV. Today they took off the fat and proteins via IV and all his medicines are going through the feeding tube. His IV is there to prevent dehydration since he’s only taking 60ml at a feeding and usually leaves 10-15ml undigested after 3 hours, so he’s eating bellow what he should for his weight. But they are hoping to get rid off that on monday. Once IV is off also we’ll start going with him to some gym in the building for some phys therapy not sure what that entales.
