Pregnancy: 29 Weeks
I’m definitely feeling very pregnant now! New discomforts and it’s very challenging to bend over – which, with a 3-year-old who leaves toys, clothes, food, etc. on the floor and needs help getting socks and shoes on – happens a lot!
But I love this stage! Isabela moves A LOT! Especially at night once Josiah is in bed and I’m relaxing on the couch, she seems to be doing cartwheels in there!
Josiah is very excited, he loves to lift my shirt and kiss my belly or talk to Isabela. Our friend Heather had her baby, Bobby, last Friday and it was a good opportunity to show Josiah what having a new baby will be like. Sophia is a very proud big sister, but also makes sure she’s not being overlooked!
I’ve been thinking back about where I was at this stage with Josiah. I was in the first week of a trip to Morocco. I’m so glad I’m not doing any traveling like that again! It’s so much better to be in my home where I can relax where I need to, eat and drink what I want, sit on a clean toilet when necessary and take care of myself!
My blood pressure remains low: 100/60 on average, and I’ve been feeling well for the most part. My sandals felt a little snug for the first time yesterday evening, but as I reassured Samuel and myself – MOST pregnant women will have some swelling at least in their feet, especially in the third trimester! But it was an unwelcome reminder of what happened last time, and that it could happen again.
But we move forward in hope and faith that this time welcoming our baby into the world will be different: beautiful, safe, healthy, and respected.
