We finally had another sunny day, so I went for a walk through Puerta de Sol – considered to be “the center” of Madrid – although you wouldn’t think so by looking at the map, this is where “everything is happening.”

The bear and the strawberry tree (I’ve never seen strawberries grow on trees, either!)

A large crowd, mostly children, gathered outside of this El Corte Inglés Department Store. It is considered the “Macy’s” of Spain. Apparently, the “caramellos” sing, though I didn’t stick around long enough for that.
